On 1st April 2010 we welcomed new partner Kier Building Maintenance in Barnsley.  Kier Building Maintenance provide repair and maintenance services in the Dearne, Hoyland and Wombwell areas of the borough, with our Construction Services Team delivering services in the other areas.     

Over the next five years Kier Building Maintenance will be working with us and Barnsley Council to provide repairs and improvements for around 6,500 Berneslai Homes’ properties, completion of the Barnsley Homes Standard programme and a number of private sector property improvements.

Who is Kier?

Corporate Responsibility

Training and Education -  Kier Building Maintenance Barnsley currently has 7 apprentices working towards the following trade qualifications: gas; electrical; plumbing; plastering and administration.  They also provide work experience and seek opportunities to overcome barriers for long term unemployed adults.  Kier Building Maintenance are committed to ongoing training and talent management and also subscribe to a cultural change programme called 'Formula for Success' to support employees embed Kier Building Maintenance values and behaviours throughout.

Charitable Support - Kier Building Maintenance Barnsley are supporting Barnsley Hospice for 2011 to 2012. Numerous events and fundraisers have taken place including a Midnight Walk. They also sponsored Wombwell Picnic in the Park.
