Article: Senior Management Team

The Senior Management Team is responsible for the day to day management of Berneslai Homes.

Helen JaggarChief Executive,  Helen Jaggar - I joined Berneslai Homes as Chief Executive in January 2007.  Prior to coming to Barnsley I worked in housing and support services with Leeds City Council and Leeds South Homes. I have 30 years experience of working in the public sector and customer focus has always been at the heart of what I do.

My promise on joining the company was to make a good company even better, to deliver excellent services to our customers and ensure there was social housing provision for future generations, and this is still my commitment.

Dave FullenDirector of Business and Customer Services, Dave Fullen -  I have been working in Barnsley for 18 years. My first job was as a housing officer in Kendray. This estate like many others that Berneslai Homes manage has been totally transformed since then.

It's pleasing to see that every year our performance improves and customer satisfaction rises. As Barnsley changes Berneslai Homes must also change to reflect the needs and aspirations of all the community; making sure that everyone has got a voice and that Berneslai Homes listens and responds to what our customers say. This is one of the key priorities for me and my teams.

Mark McGeeDirector of Housing Management, Mark McGee - Since starting with Barnsley MBC Housing Department in 1977 as a Trainee, I have experience in a number of disciplines including rents, Housing Benefit, development & regeneration, repairs, tenancy & estate management and lettings.

Even though I am not from Barnsley (my family moved here from Wales in 1965 for my Dad to work at the NUM), I am extremely proud of the town and the people.  My ethos at work is always to treat people with respect and deliver quality services that people want at a price people are prepared to pay.

Stephen DavisDirector of Assets, Regeneration and Construction, Stephen Davis - My commitment is to deliver good quality and well maintained housing for Barnsley people. I joined the company in 2003 and since then we have achieved a great deal, through the Decent Homes Programme and improvements in the repairs and planned maintenance services. But there is still much to do, particularly in maintaining the condition into the future, improving the environment and the public realm around our homes. As an architect with 25 years experience, delivering good quality housing in a safe, pleasing environment is what I do best and I will continue to strive to do this aim.

Alison RusdaleDirector of Finance and Company Secretary, Alison Rusdale -I am a qualified accountant and have worked in Housing for most of my career first with Barnsley Council and then transferring to Berneslai Homes in 2004. My aim is to support the Company in achieving the best use of resources to ensure we provide excellent customer services.

Gary WilliamsConstruction Services Manager,  Gary Williams - I joined Berneslai Homes as Construction Services Manager in February 2005. I am committed to ensuring that Construction Services provide an effective, efficient, customer focused service to our tenants and residents.

I will use my 30 years of management experience to make Berneslai Homes Construction Services one of the best service deliverers in the country as well as being an exceptional employer where staff are valued and can play an effective role in improving services.
