Berneslai Homes Launch Construction Services
BUILDING Works, the building and maintenance arm of Barnsley Council has officially become Berneslai Homes Construction Services.
The additional 300 Construction Services members of staff together with partner organisation Inspace, will be working on projects covering maintenance, repairs and gas servicing across the borough as well as some Decent Homes work.
Commenting on the transfer Coun John Parkinson Chairman of Berneslai Homes said: Im pleased that Berneslai Homes are taking the excellent skills and abilities that the workforce has to offer and it can only mean a better and more efficient service for tenants.
He continued: We will also be continuing the apprentice scheme that Construction Services employ to continue our commitment to the people of Barnsley.
Gary Williams Construction Services Manager said: We are looking forward to working together with Berneslai Homes in an exciting time for Barnsley.
Construction Services will also be increasing the use of their new white, Berneslai Homes branded vans.
