Construction Services Moves To One Central Location

Construction Services new depot at Carlton was officially opened today by his Worshipful the Mayor Len Picken.
The new depot located on Carlton Industrial Estate was formally the SR Gents factory and has now been refurbished to provide modern and much improved facilities for the staff. Berneslai Homes Construction Services will now operate from one central location.
The move has been made possible due to the relocation and subsequent closure of eight depots across the borough since 2005, including the recent relocation of Twibell Street Depot, Ings Road Depot and the Awards Windows Factory.
Chair Suzy Brain England adds,” The move to one central location will create economies of scale, increase efficiency, cut out duplication, improve communication and bring the team closer together. The new depot provides staff with modern facilities where they can enjoy working and will continue to improve the services we provide to our customers.” Suzy concludes:” The move will be a catalyst for driving further changes that are required to assist Construction Services to compete for work in the future, forge wider partnerships and diversify the business.”
