Re-launch of the California TARA
Earlier this year the California Tenants and Residents Association (TARA) almost had to dissolve due to the lack of committee members.
Thanks to support from Berneslai Homes Community Development Team and local Councillors Roy Miller and John Parkinson a new committee has been formed and they now wish to be known as the California and Windhill TARA. Councillor Miller adds, “As local members we welcome the launch of the new TARA and we hope to be able to work together for the improvements we would all like for the areas housing and environment.”
Joan Gaines, Community Development Officer at Berneslai Homes adds, “We are really pleased that we have a new committee who can act as a voice for the people on the estate. We have 26 Tenants and Residents Associations (TARA’s) operating across the Borough that are run by volunteers. The work they do for their community is invaluable.”
