Residents Urged to Save Ward Green TARA
BERNESLAI Homes are calling on residents in the Ward Green area to form a new committee and save their Tenants and Residents Association (TARA).
The Ward Green TARA has been in existence for a number of years acting as a voice for the community. Members have campaigned around particular issues and have been instrumental in driving forward and securing funding for environmental projects including the build of a special viewpoint overlooking the area and getting local footpaths cleared. They have also helped in many cases of neighbour disputes by acting as mediators.
The TARA has recently lost a number of committee members due to ill health and people moving away from the area. Without a full committee the TARA cannot function and a meeting will be held on the 14th June at 6.30pm in the Ward Green Community Centre to officially dissolve the TARA.
There are currently 24 different TARAs throughout the borough which receive help and support from Berneslai Homes Community Development Team
