Berneslai Homes and Barnsley Federation Away Day
An ‘Away Day’ was held on 17th September for representatives of Barnsley Federation and Berneslai Homes Board and senior staff to meet and get to know more about each other.
A presentation on the role of Berneslai Homes Board was given by Chair Suzy Brain England. This was followed by Chief Executive Helen Correy who spoke about the role of Berneslai Homes Senior Management Team (SMT) and explained Berneslai Homes future plans and discussed how Berneslai Homes Board, SMT and the Federation were working together to achieve common goals. Barnsley Federation Secretary Joan Whitaker went onto describe the role of the Federation and gave information about their current work.
During the morning the Federations new Business Plan was launched and Barnsley Federation Advisor Claire Hawley spoke about how the Federation's future aspirations will be met.
After short workshops which discussed future service and maintenance improvements the day concluded with everyone agreeing that they had learned more about each other and identified work that needed to be done for the benefit of Tenants and Residents in Barnsley.
