Berneslai Homes and partners sign Customer Involvement Agreement

Berneslai Homes in partnership with Barnsley Federation of Tenants and Residents and Barnsley Council officially signed the Customer Involvement Agreement on Friday 15th August.
Berneslai Homes’ Customer Involvement Agreement officially sets out the opportunities for customers (tenants, leaseholders, shared owners and owner-occupiers) to be able to influence how homes and estates are managed, how services are delivered and the future of their homes and communities.
The agreement aims to: Encourage people to play an active role in the running of their homes and estates and get involved in decisions on housing matters that affect them and their local area; and support and encourage involvement at a pace and level that they decide.
At the signing of the agreement BMBC Lead Member for Housing Councillor Bill Newman said,"In the last few years we have really moved forward in involving tenants and residents in making decisions on what happens to their homes and estates. It is vital that these decisions are based on our customers needs. This agreement demonstrates the hard work which is carried out by Barnsley Council, Berneslai Homes and Barnsley Federation in achieving this."
