From 1st April 2008 Berneslai Homes and Barnsley Connects will be opening the Repairs Hotline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The new opening hours of the contact centre makes the service offered to council tenants more accessible as they can call at any time of the day or night and speak to an advisor to report repairs or seek advice.
Steve Davis, Director of Assets, Regeneration and Construction says “The new opening hours of the Repairs Hotline will improve our customer service particularly for those people who work during the day, or need help or advice in the middle of the night”.
Liz Taylor, Manager of Barnsley Connects, says “We currently receive the majority of calls during the morning, which can lead to delays in getting through. Opening 24 hours will ease this problem as customers can contact us at an alternative time that is convenient for them, and speak to us more quickly at any time of the day or night.”
