Through the eyes of young people in New Lodge
Berneslai Homes are hosting an arts exhibition in Barnsley Town Centre to exhibit a project completed by young people aged 8 -19 years from the New Lodge Youth Club.
The young people involved in the project were supported by Berneslai Homes Resident Involvement Officer, Leon Sidebottom and local professional artists to capture images using digital photography to display what they think is both good and bad about the area in which they live which is part of a housing regeneration scheme. The project will help inform and influence how Berneslai Homes work with young people.
The exhibition shows a variety of images and will be displayed in the former Spec Savers shop between the Alhambra entrance and the Early Learning Centre.
The exhibition will be opened by the Deputy Mayor Councillor Len Picken and Berneslai Homes Chief Executive Helen Correy. It will be open on Tuesday 26th August 12:30pm till 2pm, Wednesday August 27th 11am till 2pm and Thursday 28th August 11am till 2pm.
The exhibition is open to everyone so why not come along and have a look.
