A ticket to ride for the young people of New Lodge
Over the Easter half term holidays Berneslai Homes organised a successful consultation event at New Lodge Community Centre. The event was attended by 15 young people who provided their input on a number of issues regarding the regeneration scheme in New Lodge.
The session focused on the development of the green space (next to Wensley Rd) in New lodge and the young people involved came up with some excellent ideas which will now contribute to Berneslai Homes future plans for recreation and play on the estate.
As a reward for their hard work and time the young people were rewarded with a trip to Barnsley Equestrian Centre where they had a great day horse riding and joining in with the upkeep of the stables. 
New Lodge and Athersley Project Manager Vince Lally adds, ”Our continuing involvement of young people in the regeneration of New Lodge has been a really positive aspect of the scheme and highlights our determination to include the views and ideas of everyone regarding the estates regeneration.”
