Berneslai Homes has recently received accreditation from the Tenant Participatory Advisory Service (TPAS) for delivering an excellent resident involvement service.
TPAS is the leading national tenant participation organisation working to promote tenant empowerment. The TPAS Kite Mark lasts for three years and demonstrates that Berneslai Homes delivers a resident involvement service that is accessible to all and which has a customer led impact on service delivery. Key areas which were highlighted by TPAS at the inspection in January included: Equality and diversity being embedded in the organisation and staff; the complaints procedure is excellent and understandable; local housing agreements are good practice and the Impact Teams are very accessible, approachable and sort out issues as they arise at a local level.
TPAS Regional Manager Gillian McLaren comments,” Berneslai Homes offers an extremely wide range of involvement methods. Their relationship with the Federation is an excellent example of partnership working and I have not seen such a great working partnership in the work that I have been doing.”
Business and Customer Services Director Dave Fullen adds, ”We are delighted to receive the TPAS accreditation. This shows that we know our customers and their aspirations and that we give a high priority to resident involvement in our strategic decision making and in improving our services.”
