Our Construction Services Team recently welcomed three French apprentice joiners for a two week work experience placement.
The apprentices took part in a wide variety of work including decent homes, day to day repairs and working in the joiners shop.
Ian Howe, Supervisor said “The placement was a great success and gave the lads a valuable insight into what work is carried out by Berneslai Homes. They got on brilliantly with our staff and one of our employees Eric Greenhalgh took them for some evening entertainment to Xscape in Castleford at his own expense, which we would like to thank him for.”
Part of a major international exchange scheme organised by Business and South Yorkshire, the placement is designed to give the young apprentices the chance to practice the technical skills used in the UK.
