New Right To Manage regulations aimed at trying and make it an easier process for Council Tenants to take over the management of their homes have recently been introduced.
Want to find out more then why not visit the new Tenant Services Authority’s website or download their A3 poster or A5 Leaflet.
From 1st April 1994, tenants’ organisations have had the right to take over their homes. This is called the ‘Right To Manage’. This right only applies Council tenants, including leaseholders for more in depth detail please see the Customer Involvement Agreement (page 31) and the Getting Involved Booklet (pages 10-11).
The original regulations were fairly complex, but the new regulations have simplified this process.
