Inspection Update
Our inspection by the Audit Commission began on a snowy February morning when we took the inspection team on a stock tour of the borough to look at some of our estates. The team stayed with us for 2 weeks and during this time they were very busy carrying out lots of interviews with customers, staff, the Council and many of our partners.
They also shadowed staff carrying out their normal daily duties, inspected repairs, improvements and void properties, visited our estates and buildings, observed various meetings and visited individual customers. A big thank you to everyone who took part in these sessions.
The inspection team looked in detail at all the services we provide and will judge whether we have made sufficient improvement to be awarded 3 stars, the highest rating available.
The team are now preparing their report, which will be published in June 2009 so it’ll be some time before we know what star rating we will be awarded. We will publish the result on the website and in the next edition of Open House.
