Berneslai Homes welcomes Kier as new repair and maintenance contractor
From the 1st April 2010 Kier Building Maintenance will take over as Berneslai Homes’ new repairs and maintenance contractor.
Following a recent tender exercise Kier Building Maintenance will be taking over the housing repairs, planned maintenance, improvement and environmental work which was till 31st March carried out by Inspace. They will operate in the same areas of Wombwell, Hoyland and the Dearne. The staff and workforce at Inspace will transfer to Kier on the same terms and conditions and this will be a smooth transition. Tenants will see no change to the high level of services they currently receive, and there will be no change to the way they order repairs.
Inspace have done a great job for Berneslai Homes, Barnsley Council and their tenants over the past seven years, they have been an integral part of our success story. However it will be the same staff who will continue to deliver the service into the future albeit with a different employer. Berneslai Homes and Barnsley Council welcome Kier and will build a strong and successful relationship with them.
Chief Executive Helen Jaggar adds,” With satisfaction levels running at 86% for our repairs service we are confident that Kier will maintain this and build upon our customer focused service.”
