Customer Involvement Agreement
Have you heard about our Customer Involvement Agreement?
This agreement updates the 2005 Tenant Participation Compact and is an agreement between us, our customers (tenants, leaseholders, shared owners and owner-occupiers) and all the organisations who have helped us to draw it up. It sets out all the ways we will support our customers to work with us.
We believe that all our decisions about how homes and estates are managed, how services are delivered, and the future of homes and their communities, should be based on our customers’ needs.
This agreement aims to:
- Encourage you to play an active role in the running of your homes and estates and get involved in our decisions on housing matters that affect you and your local area; and
- Support and encourage involvement at a pace and level you decide.
Purpose of this agreement:
- To show our commitment to involving customers in the decision–making process and receive feedback about their contributions.
- To increase customers’ knowledge of housing issues in the long term.
- To make sure all customers can get involved at a level that suits them.
- To explain our approach to involving tenants.
- To set out agreed standards and working practices to create a partnership between our customers, their representatives and us.
- To set out a framework which Housing Agreements will be based on.
- To allow customers to share their knowledge of local issues with us, the council and other organisations.
