Impact Team Steering Groups
Berneslai Homes Impact Team Steering groups operate along the following lines:
- Should be flexible, accessible to all services and sectors of the community, and be determined by local need or preference, for example, holding meetings at various locations if operating over a wide geographic area, or holding early evening meetings for those with other commitments.
- Should seek to be community led / chaired, and inclusive, particularly of those who are, or are found to be, under represented on other or local groups, or in the ‘decision making’ process.
- Should have an agenda which is focused enough to effectively address key issues and determine priorities, but is also flexible enough to accommodate the ‘unexpected’.
- Should monitor and evaluate the delivery of housing and other services, the achievement of performance targets, and the effectiveness of the operation and delivery of services by other key agencies and groups in the area.
- Provide an opportunity for local groups, (eg. TARA’s) and services to bring or refer issues or concerns for discussion, and / or to update or agree further action, or request support for, future or special initiatives.
- Should provide the Housing Impact Team with an opportunity to present performance information and / or reports on officers’ activities or issues identified during the previous months.
- The Team Leader should provide an ‘area’ or ‘issue’ based Action Plan to the Group for agreement or for planning on issues or priorities, from which progress can easily be monitored.
- All meetings should be held, and bear in mind the aim of working in partnership and co-operation, to achieve the best possible outcome for the community as a whole.
