Repairs and MaintenanceWelcome to our Repairs and Maintenance Section.  This section gives information and advice on how to report a repair and when we aim to get repairs completed.  

The Repairs Hotline is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week for customers who want to report a repair or have an enquiry about a repair.  You can contact the Repairs Hotline on 01226 787878.

Alternatively, you can report non emergency repairs online by using our repair reporting system.

Welcome to Kier Building Maintenance

You will have read in Open House that from 1 April 2010 Kier Building Maintenance will be taking over repairs and maintenance services in the Dearne, Hoyland and Wombwell areas of the borough.

Kier logoOver the next five years Kier will be working with us and Barnsley Council to provide repairs and improvements for around 8500 Berneslai Homes’ properties, completion of the Decent Homes programme and a number of private sector property improvements.

Who is Kier Building Maintenance?

Kier Building Maintenance is part of the Kier Group, a national housing repairs and construction company.  They provide tailored, quality repairs services and extensive refurbishment programmes for social landlords across the UK, refurbishment and new build solutions to schools, universities and leisure facilities.

Helping customers and local communities

Kier’s aim is to build positive relationships with customers by holding workshops, conferences and ride-outs, where tenants go out with operatives to view the service at the front end, and attending meetings.  Over the coming months they will be working with existing tenant and resident groups to further develop the service for Barnsley.

Kier work to improve communities through supporting local jobs for local people, and improving employee skills and experience by providing tailored training and development schemes.
