Berneslai Homes is an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) responsible for managing homes on behalf of Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council. We manage just under 20,000 properties and provide all the landlord services to the council tenants in Barnsley. Responsibilities include:
Berneslai Homes came into existence in December 2002. In 2009 we were awarded a three stars excellent rating with excellent prospects for improvement by the Audit Commission following an inspection. We are a company limited by guarantee with a Board of Directors. The Board is made up of:

Berneslai Homes also has three sub-committees that report to the Board. These are the Customer Services Committee, Human Resources Committee and Audit Committee.
