Great British Spring Clean Hits Barnsley

We will be taking part in the Great British Spring Clean on 2nd to 4th March and are calling on you to help us identify any streets, landlocked areas or community spaces which may need a ‘Spring Clean’.

If litter, dog fouling or dumping of goods for example, are causing you a problem where you live then please contact us as our volunteers and staff may be able to help. We are also asking individuals and community groups to come forward and help with the clean up. Litter picker equipment, bags, high viz vests and protective gloves will be provided.

Customer Services and Engagement Manager Sarah Barnes adds: “The #GBSpringClean is a brilliant event and we are delighted to be taking part. It gives the community a chance to make a difference, brings them together, inspires people to get outdoors and get active and every piece of litter picked up is a positive step towards a cleaner environment. If you have had enough of other people’s litter and are willing to donate your time to tackling it, then we would really like to hear from you.”

We will also be holding clean up events across Barnsley alongside our partners including Barnsley Council and local community groups, as part of ‘Love Where You Live’. These are listed below:
