Latest changes to our service

We have recently received the governments letter to all social housing tenants, and have been requested to promote this to all our tenants. (Please follow this link to download the government letter).

Our aim during this period is to keep you and our staff safe at this time.

Berneslai Homes has been planning its recovery strategy over the past few weeks, working with the unions and staff to develop safe working practices and risk assessments for the work we undertake. The following is a summary of our plan:

As from the 1st June 2020, we will have a phased start-up of our repairs and maintenance service. From this date you can report repairs as normal.

We are aware that many of you have reported repairs over the past few weeks, we will contact you about these so you don’t need to report them again or contact us unless the repair , is now more urgent than before. It will take us some time to catch up on all the repairs, we will get them completed as soon as we can.

In addition, we have started to plan to deliver the home standard works and we will be in touch in advance to make sure you are reassured before we visit your home along with explanation of our safe working practices.

Gas servicing has continued throughout the lock down period and as you can see from the Prime Ministers letter, this is an important annual safety check that we must carry out. We would greatly appreciate your cooperation so that we can carry out this essential visit, so please arrange to provide access when we make contact.
