Tenant Voice Panel update

Our Tenant Voice Panel have been busy keeping us on our toes these last few months, checking performance, ensuring we remain compliant and have been focusing on the Local Offers this month. Local Offers are a set of promises we make with our customers once a year that concentrate on the things that really matter to you.

We said we were meeting 18/25 of our challenging offers and the Tenant Voice Panel agreed, although they did have some questions along the way, which we were happy to answer.  The panel have also helped us develop a new suite of offers for this year and have suggested that we have a dedicated offer around how we deal with damp and mould. It is a topical issue at the moment, so here it is:

“We will support the Tenant Voice Panel’s scrutiny review into the tenant experience of how Berneslai Homes deals with damp and mould in our homes”.

You can find out how we are performing against all the new local offers in November.

The Tenant Scrutiny Panel haven’t drawn breath and have completed two projects, one into the accessibility of our website and a further in relation to compliance against the Housing Ombudsman’s Complaints Code. Both producing positive reports, with recommendations for improvement, something we are currently responding to.

In line with the new local offer, the Scrutiny Panel are starting a new topic into the tenant experience of how we deal with damp and mould in our homes. You can find out more about how they are doing in our next bulletin. Don’t forget if you have anything that you think the panel should be looking at just drop them an email: tenantvoice@berneslaihomes.co.uk
