| Barnsleys 100 Worse Gardens Identified | |
| Barnsley’s 100 worst gardens have been identified in a blitz by Berneslai Homes. Our Impact Teams have recently completed the first of three ‘100 Worse Garden’ exercises planned for this year. The exercise proved to be a great success with either a resolution or improvement in 89 gardens, after 4 weeks. Of the outstanding 11 gardens, one was identified for ongoing support, 4 required legal intervention and 6 were sold properties which are being progressed accordingly to get a satisfactory resolution. The success of this exercise is thanks to the early intervention and the offer of support and or enforcement.

| Customers invited to scrutinise Berneslai Homes | |
| Last week Berneslai Homes held its regular Customer Panel at the Metrodome. It was attended by over 40 customers who wanted to find out how their involvement has helped shape the work they have done around the new regulatory framework as directed by the Tenants Services Authorities (TSA). The new regulator has set a series of national standards that all social housing providers have to adhere to. Landlords also have a responsibility to develop a further set of standards, in partnership with their customers, around local issues. | |
