A programmed Replacement is:
- a window
- a door
- a kitchen or bathroom item
If any of these items have been checked by a qualified operative or inspector as being seen to be beyond repair we will replace them. We also check that your home is not included in a current or future improvement scheme.
We’ll always attempt a repair in the first instance. If the qualified operative or inspector sees that the item needs renewing, it will be placed on a programmed replacement list.
Programmed replacements are done with other similar work in your area. This makes sure our contractors can make the best use of our resources.
The replacement item is then placed on the programmed replacement list. The list opens on the 15th day of the month and closes on the 14th day of the following month. At the end of this period the list of replacement items is looked at. Checks are carried out, and orders prepared. All the orders are sent to our contractors on the 1st of the following month; ( if a replacement item is identified between 15th April and 14th May it will be ordered with our contractor on 1st June).
On the 1st of every month we order work from the programmed replacement list. You will be sent a letter when the order is placed. This will tell you who will do the work, and the contractors details.
Our contractor has 10 weeks to complete all the jobs on the programmed replacement list. Some items will be done quicker than others. The contactor will contact you to make arrangements and plan the work in.
Before the work is ordered, our Repairs Hotline can tell you if the work is on the Programmed Replacement list. Once the work is ordered you will receive a letter telling you which contractor will carry out the work and give their contact details for any enquiries.
