A successful start to Love Where You Live

Love Where You Live, Barnsley Council's community movement launched last week during Volunteers' Week and we were delighted to show our support with a range of events across the borough.

Colleagues from across Berneslai Homes along with Board members and representatives from partner organisations joined our neighbourhood teams on their estate walkabouts to lend support with litter picking and conversations with residents. 

Many purple bags were filled along the way as the neighbourhood teams tried out their new community kits complete with litter pickers, hoops, gloves, and bags. 

The special week of activity was rounded off with a great day of volunteering at Wombwell's Loxley Community Gardens where Berneslai Homes has sponsored a raised bed.
