BAAS Construction Ltd has made a £500 donation to Cancer Research UK on behalf of Berneslai Homes. The company, which is helping to carry out vital improvements to Barnsley’s council homes, made the gesture to mark Grief Awareness Week, which runs each year on 2-8 December.
Stuart Harrison, Commercial Director at BAAS, said: “As part of our ongoing partnership, BAAS is pleased to support Cancer Research UK with this donation made on behalf of Berneslai Homes. All of us are affected by cancer and we look forward to a hopeful future as more advances are made in cancer research and treatment.”
Kat Allott-Stevens, Head of Estate Services, said: “This donation to Cancer Research is particularly poignant during Grief Awareness Week as we remember those we’ve lost including dear friends, colleagues, and family members. It’s a cause close to all our hearts and we stand together with everyone affected by grief and cancer. Thank you to BAAS for their generous support.”
Cancer Research UK has existed for the past 120 years, making discoveries that save lives. Their strategy is focussed on making discoveries, driving progress, and bringing hope to those affected by cancer.
