National Involvement Week 10-14 November

Published: 03/11/2025
Involvement Week

We’re proud to support Tpas Involvement Week on 10-14 November, celebrating the positive difference that tenant involvement makes to communities, services, and people’s lives.

Tpas, the tenant engagement experts, are running a series of free online events with a different theme each day. You can read more about what's on and book your place using the links below. We’ll also be sharing some of our own local stories and the activity of the engagement team throughout the week, as well as launching some fantastic new involvement opportunities for current tenants and leaseholders.

Day 1, Monday 10 November: Involvement - The Big Picture

Involvement isn’t just about listening, it’s about acting, changing, and improving services and communities. Today sets the tone for the week, covering the Regulator’s expectations, national standards, and real examples of great engagement from Tpas accredited landlords.

  • Free online session: The Regulator's Perspective (11am-12noon)
Hear directly from the Regulator of Social Housing on the Tenant Involvement and Accountability Standard.
  • Free online workshop: Tpas Engagement Standards and Accreditation (1.30-2.30pm)
Learn how the Tpas National Engagement Standards can be used to review, benchmark and strengthen involvement activities

Day 2, Tuesday 11 November: Involvement on the Ground

This day focuses on grassroots community engagement, from walkabouts and neighbourhood projects to local tenants’ associations that are making a difference to places and services. Real people. Real stories. Real change.

Day 3, Wednesday 12 November: Rethinking Involvement – Innovation and Digital

Involvement is changing. This day explores new ideas, creative methods, and digital tools that are reshaping how landlords and tenants connect.

  • Free online workshop: Get Confident with AI (10–11am)
This practical, down-to-earth session is for anyone new to AI who wants to understand what it is, how it’s used, and how it can help in everyday life and community work.
  • Free online workshop: Creative New Methods in Engagement (2–3.30pm)
Try out deliberative democracy, co-design and arts-based techniques in this practical, hands-on session with Caritas Charles.

Day 4, Thursday 13 November: Involvement for Everyone – Inclusion and Representation

Good involvement includes everyone. This day looks at whose voices are missing, why representation matters, and how to embed equity and inclusion in practice.

  • Free online workshop: A Seat at the Table (10–11.30am)
Based on Tpas’s recent report, Kai Jackson will explore how ethnic minority voices can be better represented in housing engagement, with lived experience and clear steps for change.

Day 5, Friday 14 November: Celebrating Tenant Involvement

This final day is about inspiration, challenge and celebration, with tenants leading the conversation and showing what works.

  • Free online showcase: Celebrating Tenant Involvement (11am-1pm)
During the Tpas online showcase, tenants from across the country will share their perspectives on involvement.
