A view to supporting Barnsley Hospice

Barnsley Hospice Kingfisher Windows Donation

Kingfisher Windows have donated £6,558.25 to Barnsley Hospice on behalf of Berneslai Homes. As part of their commitment to social value, the company which provides repairs services for us, wanted to support our chosen charity for 2026-27, and the vital work they do to provide specialist end of life care across the borough.

This adds to the money our colleagues have already raised this year, through various activities, including sweepstakes, abseiling, and signing up for Barnsley Hospice's skydiving event.

John Lees, Head of Operational Delivery, said: “Thanks to Kingfisher Windows for donating to Barnsley Hospice on our behalf, as part of their commitment to social value. This will make a real difference in our communities, by providing essential palliative and end of life care across Barnsley.”

Simon Atkinson, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Barnsley Hospice, said: "We're incredibly grateful to have the support of Kingfisher Windows and Berneslai Homes. The team at Berneslai Homes consistently go above and beyond, not only through their fundraising efforts but by helping to raise awareness of the hospice and our services across the community.

"Partnerships like this are invaluable to us, and this generous donation will make a real difference to local people and help us continue delivering compassionate care and support to patients and their families."

Deborah McKenzie, Sales and Marketing Manager at Kingfisher Windows, said: “Kingfisher Windows are proud to support Barnsley Hospice and the invaluable work they do within the local community. We are delighted that we can make this donation and contribute to the exceptional care and support the hospice provides. As a local business, we believe in giving back to causes that really make a difference and we are honoured to play a small part in supporting such a worthy organisation.”
